It was a night of smiles on November 7th as Operation Smile held their annual Smile Gala at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco, CA. The spectacular evening raised over $200,000, enough funds to provide life-changing cleft lip surgeries for over 800 children. Operation Smile honored singer and songwriter Matt Nathanson with the Universal Smile Award for his work with Starkey Hearing Foundation and Fremont Bank with the Corporate Humanitarian Award. The evening’s awards were donated by Spanish porcelain company Lladró as guests sipped on Ca’ Momi wine and received “Smile More” tees, by The Perfect Provenance, in celebration of the night. The gala was chaired by Shab Farzaneh, Shirin Aryanpour and Operation Smile Founders’ Circle member, Lisa Lori, who served as the Honorary event chair. Closing out the successful night, Matt Nathanson gave a surprise acoustic performance of his platinum certified hit “Come On Get Higher” as well as “Giants” from his latest album, Show Me Your Fangs, which was released in October.
